Our mission is to assure that the people of Wisconsin know and believe that alcohol and drug addiction prevention, treatment and recovery work. We implement our mission through programs for education, training, advocacy and collaboration to overcome alcohol and other drug abuse (AODA).

We are committed to our mission because AODA is the fourth leading cause of death in Wisconsin, destroys families and damages communities, costs state citizens roughly $5 billion annually, and is both preventable and treatable, with recovery rates comparable to other chronic health problems like diabetes and asthma.

WAAODA is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable membership organization chartered by the State of Wisconsin. Our members include counseling professionals, healthcare administrators, direct service providers, educators and friends and family members of addicted and recovering individuals who actively support alcohol and other drug addiction prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery services in communities throughout the state.

Contributions are very much appreciated and may be tax-deductible, including:

  • Conference sponsorships
  • Estate bequests
  • Cash donations
  • Office equipment
  • Volunteer work in-kind

A drug test is the most bothersome thing for cannabis users. On the one hand, cannabinoids like CBD and Delta-8 THC are legal, and researchers are always trying to figure out how they may help people.

Five types of hair drug tests are currently in use to detect drug usage or the presence of THC in your system, depending on the sample utilized. Urine, blood, hair follicle, saliva, and sweat testing are also available. The hair follicle drug test is the most difficult to beat because it may identify THC metabolites in the body for the longest time – at least three months after the last time of consumption.
