Program Manager

FT position managing multiple Addictions/Corrections programs for Lutheran Social Services. Successful candidate will have experience in budgeting, starting and supervising programs, AODA licensing and policies, and partnering and collaborating with correctional and county entities. The successful candidate will also hold an Independent Clinical Supervisor (ICS) license and provide clinical supervision to programs in the SE area of Wisconsin. Meta House, a nationally recognized substance abuse treatment program designed for women and providing residential treatment and outpatient services in a family-centered model, is looking for a Lead AODA Counselor.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision to all AODA Counseling staff
• Provide administrative oversight.
• Work directly with the Program Director and other Service Managers to insure quality team functioning.
• Attend all program staffings.
• Work with Program Director and Program Administrator to develop and maintain policies and procedures for AODA Counseling staff as indicated by regulations, funding sources, financial accounting, professional ethics, etc.
• Ensure that the agency Core values are the guiding principles for service delivery.
• Develop working relationships with the community that enhances delivery of services.
• Carry a partial case load of clients

Background and Skills Required

• Masters Degree in Counseling or MSW
• LPC or LCSW
• CSAC
• Independent Clinical Supervisor
• Minimum of five years supervisory experience in AODA services.
• Good communication, documentation and problem-solving skills
• Must be flexible, patient, and have a good sense of humor, and have a nurturing personality
• Ability to work with women from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

Summary: Under the general direction of the Clinical Supervisor, the AODA Counselor II is responsible for providing alcohol/drug and mental health outpatient treatment to adults and adolescents. Responsibilities include assessment/intake, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, case management, and related documentation.

• Master’s degree in counseling related field required.
• Unrestricted Mental health certification as a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) or LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) with the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing.
• Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC) or Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) unrestricted license, Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing
• Knowledge of state and federal guidelines relating to alcohol, drug, and mental health counseling
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent interviewing and assessment skills
• Strong ability to translate assessment information into treatment plan
• Demonstrated success in working with a culturally diverse patient population and community
• Demonstrated ability in managing stress and crisis situations
• Knowledge of local, state and federal community resources available to patients
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Must be in recovery for at least two years, if recovering from a substance use disorder

Our facility has an opening for a full-time Addictions Counselor. The qualified candidate will work closely with the Clinic Director, Clinical Supervisor, other clinicians, medical, and front office personnel in accordance with State and Federal Regulations to provide care for our patients.

Our Counselors work under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and are primarily responsible for:

1) Assisting our patients with reaching their treatment goals;
2) Preparing current patient progress reports and completion notices;
3) Providing paperwork to patients, courts, probation and parole departments and referral sources;
4) Maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations;
5) Coordinating and cooperating with local agencies and organizations necessary to expedite treatment for each patient.

Qualifications:

1) Certified Substance Abuse Counselor in the state of Wisconsin required; Will consider Substance Abuse Counselor in Training.
2) Bachelor’s degree required;
3) Master’s degree preferred;
4) Experience in individual and group therapy;
5) Experience in medication assisted treatment preferred;
6) Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
7) Ability to work early morning hours Monday – Friday, with a rotating Saturday.
